The event, sponsored by the Macomb-Oakland
Regional Center which has offices in Clinton Township and Auburn Hills and serves 5,100 people
with disabilities in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties, will be held from 6
p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 and include a pasta dinner.
Art on sale will include paintings, sculpture,
jewelry and photographs, said Patty Sunisole,
Recreational Therapy Services Director at MORC.
About 70 percent of the money collected for sales
will go to the artists with the remainder to be reinvested in the program to
buy more art supplies,
“This program helps our consumers get in touch
with the various talents they never knew they had,” Sunisole said.
