REDFORD — Anyone remember Moe, Larry and Curley?
At least five people the Macomb-Oakland Regional Center
serves will be introduced to the three comedians who became popular in the
1940s. The five will attend a “Classic Film Series” on Saturday, April 16, featuring
the Three Stooges Festival.
The two-hour matinee performance starts at 2 p.m. at the
Redford Theater. Six of the Three Stooges films will be shown, including
“Matri-Phony,” “Three Smart Saps,” “Even as I.O.U,” “Three Little Twirps,”
“Higher than a Kite,” and “I Can Hardly Wait.”
There also will be an organ overture 30 minutes before each
show. An evening performance also is scheduled at 8 p.m.
Tickets for the event are $5 per person. The people MORC serves will be gifted tickets
by MORC staff attending the event, said MORC Support Coordinator Dennis
Santoni. Caregivers also will attend to make it a memorable day for those who
should enjoy the slapstick humor of The Stooges.
